What brand are you buying?

Are you paying for the store brand or the brand on the beef?

Paying a premium for a lesser quality product is another flaw in the system and comes with so much less than buying direct.

Buying direct isn't about finding the cheapest beef, it's about transparency, trust, and keeping ranchers in business. Whether it's your local farmer down the road or a ranch shipping direct to your door, knowing who raised your food and how it was produced matters.

Kollasch Family beef comes at a fair price always. Even then, we almost never lead a sales pitch with the price we put on our beef. It’s not a bargain and it’s not going to break the bank. We work hard to manage our input costs from creating soil that requires less inputs to nutrition programs that help our animals better utilize their feed. We charge what covers the cost and when we can’t do that - well you won’t find our beef on your tables any longer.

We lead with transparency.

You know our name. You know what the animal ate. You know every step from pasture to plate.

Buying mystery beef just isn’t affordable or sustainable. February 2026 beef is averaging $9+/lb at the meat counter and the person who raised it is barely breaking even. Supporting local or direct, is how we keep good food on American tables. It's going to take all of us working together to feed America.

Take time to choose the brand that supports a sustainable system. One that won’t crumble if the supply chain breaks, one that invests in soil health, supports your community and helps creat a sound local food system.
