Taco Seasoning

Skip grabbing the packet of taco seasoning at the store - we mix our own up every time!

Simple Beef Taco Meat Seasoning:

1 tablespoon chili powder

1 teaspoon ground cumin

1 teaspoon garlic powder

1 teaspoon paprika

1 teaspoon salt

1/2 teaspoon oregano

1/2 teaspoon onion powder

1/4 teaspoon black pepper

1/4 teaspoon crushed red pepper flakes

You can adjust the salt and spiciness or add flour if you'd like to thicken the meat mixture a little (most store bought packages have flour in them). Mix up a big batch and keep it on hand! I also ALWAYS add 1/2 cup homemade salsa (or chunky store bought) and 1/2 cup water and let simmer for 20 minutes.
