How many pounds of meat will fit in my freezer?
A whole, half or quarter beef sounds like a lot of meat! Typically, you can estimate 1 cubic foot per 35 lbs of packaged meat. This means that for a quarter beef from our farm (about 85 lbs take home beef) you'll want to have 4 cubic feet, for a half beef you'll need 8-9 cubic feet and a whole beef will need 16 cubic feet. Don't forget the other items you may be keeping in your freezer when considering storage room for your beef. Your bulk beef will keep in these conditions
